Another PEPP candidate steps up

Michelle Di Donna will be the PEPP candidate in Balaclava Ward

Michelle Di Donna will stand for the Balaclava Ward as People Empowering Port Phillip (PEPP) candidate in the Council elections.

She provided TWiSK with this statement:

“I have lived in Balaclava for nearly 40 years, and been involved in many activities in the hood, including at my son’s St Kilda Primary School. Working for 13 years at the St Kilda South Post Office, that has just closed, made me realise what a great community we are and I loved every day and everyone.

“I really want to keep serving my community. I am very inspired by Serge Thomann and People Empowering Port Phillip’s aims and I am so pleased that I could join this great group of people who want to make a big difference in our city. Many people know me and I believe that I am the right person to represent my ward and its people. This is obviously a last-minute decision but I am ready to serve.”

Michelle said she wishes to restore Balaclava to its former glory, and restore growth by cleaning the streets and promoting the variety and convenience that Balaclava has to offer.

“Security cameras may be a useful addition, along with occasional patrols by Police. Free parking continues to be a positive element. The refurbishment of the St Kilda Library which is way overdue must take place soon.

“I’ll always listen and assist our residents and visitors, this is just what I have always done.”
