As a Lakeside Ward resident, I believe locals deserve a council that delivers, addresses challenges head-on, and is one they can always depend on.

My skills and attributes
I bring nearly a decade of experience as a workforce advisor, backed by my law degree, partnering with companies and government to deliver for communities.
My aims
To rapidly implement initiatives that support renters, parents, seniors, small businesses, artists, and pet owners, ensuring the council listens and addresses our community’s top priorities.

David Knoff
Independent

With nearly 20 years of experience in international relations, I bring a broad perspective to local government, blending global leadership with a commitment to community-focused governance. My leadership background, from leading soldiers overseas as an Army Officer to managing expeditions in Antarctica, has developed my ability to lead effectively, make tough decisions, and foster collaboration—skills I will bring to addressing local issues here in Port Phillip. I am committed to applying my leadership and governance experience to ensure Port Phillip’s council remains focused on solving local issues that matter most to our community. An active member of the community I want to see Port Phillip’s parks, beaches, gardens and streets managed sensibly and for all to benefit without creating new hazards and risks.

Increasing transparency so community can keep Council accountable on commitments.

Peter Martin
Labor Candidate For Montague Ward

I’ve been a strong advocate/activist for Montague for 25 years. As PMPS principal, I facilitated the construction of $20m in new
buildings making it the local “school of choice”, playing a significant role in the establishment of the “new” Albert Park College, South Melbourne PS and Kirrup Park.  I’m active in local sports clubs (long term Executive Member at Port Colts JFC).  Although living outside the ward, Murphy
Reserve is almost my second home.
With a current four years on Council, and an intimate understanding of the issues facing Montague Ward, I will ensure that Fishermans Bend developments are environmentally sustainable, that Council services are INCREASED, that more local (dog-friendly) green spaces are established, and that Council improves its support for those in housing/rental strife.

Labor

Hello, I’m Robbie Nyaguy, current Councillor and your Labor candidate for St Kilda Ward. I’m putting up my hand again to be your progressive voice on Council.
Since my election last year, I’ve been shocked to find our Council is off-track, unprincipled and failing to deliver for our community.
We need a Council that plays its part in addressing the housing and climate crises, while also keeping a laser-focus on delivering better community infrastructure and services every day. If re-elected, I will continue to work to revitalise Acland and Fitzroy Streets, invest in safer foot and bike paths, build more green, open space and ensure our vibrant arts communities and venues have a strong future.
As the only renter on Council, I know that many in our community are struggling and that Council can do more to help those in need.
In my professional career in government, as a local Councillor and through the Community Alliance of Port Phillip, I’ve worked to build a better society.
If re-elected, I will continue to be a grassroots councillor working for you and responding promptly to your issues. I’d love to hear from you
