St Kilda Festival
Returns Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 February in 2026 with a glorious weekend of summer celebrations featuring some of the biggest names in Australian music.
Day One (Saturday 14 February) is First Peoples First, a showcase of Australia’s best established and emerging First Nations artists, and community events, across two stages at South Beach Reserve and O’Donnell Gardens.
Day Two (Sunday 15 February) is Big Festival Sunday, a large-scale, multi-stage event showcasing Australia’s biggest artists and bands that stretches across the St Kilda Foreshore. The festivities include food and market stalls, community activities, carnival rides and much more.
As always, it’s free and all ages!

Share & Swap St Kilda Fest
Share your pre-loved items and swapping for re-loved treasures, all in a lively pop-up setting. Just like an op shop or garage sale, where everything is free.
Anything non-bulky that you’d comfortably share with close friends. Think clothes, shoes, books, kitchenware, plants, cosmetics, seeds, garden harvest, pet items, postcards, kids’ items, toys, puzzles, bags, photo frames, jewellery, art supplies, hobby items, umbrellas, stationery, long shelf-life food etc. Read more here.

Join other volunteers at the iconic monthly 3182 St Kilda Beach Patrol.
Meet at the Marina Reserve Barbecues (near the skate park and sun sculpture).
Look out for the purple t-shirts, BYO gloves and water bottle and dress for the weather

Writing workshop with Alexandra Collier
Got a personal story you want to tell but you’re afraid to write about your friends and/or family members in the process? Learn how to navigate writing the truth about your life for essays, memoir or creative non-fiction. And gain confidence in navigating the tricky ethics of writing your truth when it involves the people who are closest to you.
Alexandra Collier is an award-winning writer who has written for theatre, screen and print. Her memoir Inconceivable: Heartbreak, Bad Dates and Finding Solo Motherhood about her journey to becoming a solo mum by choice was published by Hachette. She has been writing for three seasons on the ABC/BBC detective series Return to Paradise. Alexandra has written for a range of mediums and people, including Esther Perel, Showtime (TV network), The Guardian, The Age/Sydney Morning Herald, Harper’s Bazaar and Mamamia.

Feuding & fatal families
Families may be related by blood – but they can also involve blood-letting, sometimes with fatal consequences.
Three Victorian authors – Tanya Scott (Still Water), Fiona Lowe (The Drowning), and Kirstyn McDermott (What the Bones Know) – will dissect the institution of the family and its criminal complexity in different ways. They will reveal all to fellow author, Lyn Yeowart.

The St Kilda Blues festival is the brainchild of blues fans and hospitality experts, Gavan and Sonya Breen who wanted to provide “A free weekend celebrating the spirit of the blues, the music and all things blues. Music everywhere for everybody.”

A celebration of Irish culture, bringing you a little taste of Ireland, right in the heart of St Kilda.
A celebration of live music, showcasing Irish folk, country, and contemporary sounds from emerging and established Victorian, Australian, and international artists.
