Vivien Anderson Gallery is proud to present two powerful solo exhibitions: Life on the River by the celebrated Kaantju/Umpila multidisciplinary artist Naomi Hobson, and Mamu: My Story by respected senior Minyma (law woman), Ngangkari (traditional healer), and community leader from the Anangu Pitanjtantjara Yankunytjatjara Lands, Angela Watson.

A bustling morning at the
Carlisle Street Market (Balaclava Hotel Car Park), followed by the family-friendly Duke Street Picnic Party at St Kilda Library. Enjoy live music, a classic sausage sizzle, and lawn games for a fun-filled afternoon. As the evening sets in, the music doesn’t stop, with free live performances across multiple venues, keeping the energy high into the night.
Sunday
An epic car park party and beer garden running from 1pm to 8pm. Headlining the day’s events are Melbourne’s High Priestess of Soul, Kylie Auldist, along with acts such as rock’n’roll queens, Hot Machine, Alma Zygier, Kiwat Kennell, Bernadette November, A Whale Called Phoenix, and local legends Primary Scream. The event takes place at Rear 202 Carlisle Street. .

No Buts the book: a conversation with men who changed their behaviour

As part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, join us in this safe space, where we will hear from men who have changed their violent and abusive behaviour, with the aim of understanding their lived experience and encouraging other men to seek help.

Facilitated by Margaret Chipperfield, social worker and survivor who compiled the stories in No Buts after working with men in a Men’s Behaviour Change Program for over 11 years.

This event is strictly for adults aged 18 years and over.
