A record number of events and activities will be showcased at the 2024 City of Port Phillip Seniors Festival from 1 to 14 October.

The biggest and most inclusive program yet features 43 events and activities across Port Phillip.

Events include the 80s tribute Show, 80s Enuff!, on Saturday 5 October at the Middle Park Bowls Club. Combining 80s fashion and original 80s instruments with raw energy and humour, they’ll transport you back to the era of big hair, shoulder pads and synth beats.

The Port Phillip Library Service has produced 11 events including Smart Phone Stories Workshops for Seniors, a Seniors Writing Panel and a Multicultural Seniors Showcase series of pop-up performances in library branches.

On Tuesday 8 October the Victorian Pride Centre presents An Afternoon with Friends of Dorothy. This event, celebrating older LGBTIQA+ community members, features interactive activities, pop-up stalls, free cake and coffee and a private tour of the Centre.

The Festival also includes a University of the Third Age Port Phillip arts showcase, performances and a seminar, croquet, community gardening, First Nations artist led art workshop, bowling, live music, discussions, film screenings and joyful celebrations of culture with amazing food, music, videos and dancing presented by several cherished cultural groups.

The Port Phillip Writes Awards Ceremony on Monday 14 October at St Kilda Town Hall marks the official close of the Festival.
