All the votes have been counted and distributed, unless contested these people will be declared elected on Tuesday 12 November.
More independents, fewer party affiliations is the headline from this council election. The Residents of Port Phillip (RoPP) now have three councillors (up from two), the ALP two councillors (down from three) and the Greens held their vote but did not win in any ward. Liberal independents Sherson and McDonald were also unsuccessful.
The other four councillors are proudly independent, Halliday in Alma, Cunsolo in Port Melbourne, Thomann in St Kilda and Makin in Montague.
The councillors will elect a mayor on Thursday night.
