After entertaining an enthusiastic crowd at the St Kilda Festival last Sunday, Cub Sport’s Sam Netterfield and Tim Nelson made a return visit on Wednesday to tour the Pride Centre on Fitzroy Street.
Their tour guide was Cr Serge Thomann, who met the pair backstage at the festival. They told Serge how great it was to perform out and proud at the festival. Serge, ever wanting to show off St Kilda, told them about the Pride Centre and arranged for them to visit.
It was excitement all round because Cub Sport has been thriving in the music scene with over 300 million streams and two top 10 albums, including an ARIA #1 album (2023’s Jesus At The Gay Bar).
They have become one of Australia’s most significant pop exports, profoundly influential, prolific, and among the most successful independent (self-managed and self-released) bands in the country.
