The school’s 320 students have no indoor space large enough for assemblies, sport or performances, leaving activities at the mercy of wet weather and extreme heat.
A new hall would also host local classes, meetings and community events outside school hours.

Nine local schools conditions rated poor or worn
The Victorian Auditor-General’s Delivering School Upgrade Projects (2026) report examined whether the Victorian School Building Authority targets and manages upgrades effectively and meets school needs.
Looking at school building conditions, it found that nine of the 14 Port Phillip schools listed were rated poor or worn: five primary schools, two secondary schools, a specialist school and a continuing education centre. St Kilda Park Primary recorded the lowest published score at 3.09.
