Community Fund now has higher max grant

Eligible charities, not-for-profits and community groups can apply to the Palais Theatre Community Fund’s next funding round closing on Friday 12 June.

The Palais Theatre Community Fund has returned for 2026, offering grants of up to $10,000 to eligible charities, not-for-profit organisations and community groups within the City of Port Phillip.

Since launching in 2017, the fund has distributed more than $640,000 back into the local community, supporting a wide range of initiatives including creative arts projects, community programs, infrastructure upgrades and equipment purchases.

This year marks the largest funding round to date, with the maximum grant amount doubling from $5,000 to $10,000.

Past recipients have included organisations such as St Kilda Mums, Sacred Heart Mission, Victorian Pride Centre, Melbourne Fringe, Theatre Works, Elwood Life Saving Club and a range of local schools, sporting clubs and grassroots community organisations.

Applications for Round 13 are now open and close at 5pm on Friday 12 June.
