Victoria has two houses of Parliament.

The lower house is called the Victorian Legislative Assembly. It has 88 seats, known as districts. The Premier is elected by this house.

The upper house is the Victorian Legislative Council, which has 40 members representing eight regions (five metropolitan and three non‑metropolitan). Each region elects five members. All of St Kilda (and the City of Port Phillip) is within the Southern Metropolitan Region.

Four State lower house seats (Legislative Assembly) represent people living in St Kilda (and the City of Port Phillip area). These are listed below in alphabetical order.

Do not be misled by electorate names. Boundaries zig‑zag across multiple suburbs and postcodes.
