Who am I?
A local environmental engineer
I’m an environmental engineer, Pilates teacher and St Kilda East local. I love a good coffee, walking my dog at Alma Park and honestly could spend all my time just getting to know everyone in the neighbourhood – so always come say hi if you ever see me on the street!
Why here?
Prahran is my home
I’ve lived and worked in this community for years. My partner Anthony and I have built our lives here. Through Pilates and out on the streets, I’ve connected with so many different people across the electorate, and I care deeply about the lives of my neighbours and community.
What do you hope to achieve?
A representative who puts community first
Our community deserves an active local member who does politics differently. Who will push hard on housing affordability, climate action and thriving local streets. My five local priorities are: investing in our frontline community services, funding arts and youth, tram 78 accessibility, more green space, and community-owned green energy.
What are my top concerns?
It’s getting harder and harder to get ahead
Locals are telling me they’re feeling squeezed. By rent and mortgage payments, energy bills and groceries, and the mounting cost of climate inaction. They feel government has abandoned our crucial frontline services, at a time we need them now more than ever.
Why vote for me?
Bring the power back to the community
People are fed up with politics not working for them. They’re sick of career politicians, and want someone real to represent them. I’m an environmental engineer who solves problems and delivers real outcomes. I take no corporate donations, and never will. I’m here to bring power back to the community.

Dr Meghan Hopper
Victorian Labor Party
Who am I?
I’m an experienced academic, company director and manager who has worked to deliver safer neighbourhoods and generated major funding for community infrastructure and services. My experience as a Councillor and former Mayor means I know the value of a government that puts people first.
Why here?
My husband and I are first homeowners in South Yarra. We have lived here for over five years and we love the community we have built, surrounded by good people and close to all the things we need and enjoy. It’s a community I’m proud to represent on Stonnington Council.
What do you hope to achieve?
Safety is our community’s number one priority. I’ve dedicated my career to making communities safer and more equal: working to implement Victoria’s Royal Commission into Family Violence, and shortlisted for a national award having championed practical safety measures following the death of Jill Meagher. Labor is delivering more police, more PSOs and more lighting on Chapel Street, but there’s still more to do.
What are my top concerns?
I grew up attending public schools, was first in my immediate family to graduate from university and now, I’m a Monash University lecturer. I’ve seen how quality education transforms lives, and I’m proud of Labor’s local investment in education – from opening Prahran High School in 2019, to $13.1m for St Kilda Primary School.
Why vote for me?
For the past 12 years, Prahran has been represented in parliament by voices of protest and opposition. We deserve a voice at the table, in the rooms where decisions are being made. As your MP, I’ll proudly stand up for what makes our community great, and I’ll fight every day to make it better.

Rachel Westaway MP
Liberal Member for Prahran
Who am I?
I was elected Liberal Member for Prahran at the February 2025 byelection. Before Parliament I served as a Commonwealth Tribunal member and as Victoria’s Assistant Commissioner for Freedom of Information. Earlier in my career I led marketing at The Age, New Idea and SBS, and created Cadbury’s giant Caramello Koala.
Why here?
Prahran is home. I have lived here more than 20 years and raised my three children in this community. I know our streets, our traders and our neighbours. I love this place, and I have seen the challenges growing. I am here to listen closely, and to deliver practical results.
What do you hope to achieve?
Safer streets, real relief from cost of living pressures, and a Chapel Street that thrives again. I want local businesses backed, local infrastructure improved, and essential services delivered properly. Above all, I want a strong local voice in Parliament that listens first and then gets things done for Prahran.
What are my top concerns?
Community safety comes first. Families should feel safe walking home at night, and traders should not be cleaning up after break-ins. I am also focused on cost of living, reliable public services, better local infrastructure, and the responsible management of every dollar of taxpayers’ money. Our community deserves nothing less.
Why vote for me?
Because I have a plan for Prahran, the experience to deliver it, and a proved track record over the last 18 months. Safer streets, support for local traders, and services that work. I will show up, listen, and follow through. Give me your vote and I will keep working hard for everyone in this community, whoever they vote for.
